The theme for the deli was adopted to portray the local school mascot, the Polson Pirates, and as a nautical expression of it's location on beautiful Flathead Lake.
It is not unusual to see young children sporting eye patches, temporary pirate tattoos, and waving pirate flags when they leave the restaurant.
The deli featured a wide variety of sandwiches, and Montana made Wilcoxson's ice cream. After operating for 15 months, The Cove Deli then moved to its new location and expanded its menu to include pizza, a variety of salads, pastas, and beer and wine.
The Cove Deli prides itself in serving sandwiches on fresh, locally baked bread, and sliced daily deli meats. It's pizza features homemade dough, sauce, and freshly blended grated cheeses. It is also known for its clam chowder, which is served daily.
